Overall i was pleased with this unit.
It's very close to my college, and it was very easy to get everything moved into the storage unit. Will probably use again in the future.
Its great and safe easy to get to your stuff
Dealt with Detarsha at reception - extremely helpful
Insurance is a mandatory monthly cost in addition to the leasing fee, which wasn't make clear when I reserved the unit. There's also a $22 administrative fee just to file your paperwork.. The service was great though and the facility is clean,
Good customer service, place was clean.
The storage unit was clean and there is a lift to help get stuff upstairs. It is very expensive compared to other nearby facilities. Expect $30+ in fees for the first month.
Staff was really nice and stayed open late for us. The lights keep shutting off while we were moving though
I had a decent experience. It was what you would expect from a storage unit in Dorchester.
I called and moved my stuff in same day. Great experience.
Tough to beat the price at Planet SelfStorage, but with only one staffer on-site at any given time, getting set up can be a hassle. The first time I tried to move in my stuff, no one was there because they go to the bank every morning and I wasn't able to wait for them to return. Bottom line -- you get what you pay for. If price is no issue, look elsewhere.
The young black lady that works the front is awesome. She is kind and very helpful
Very satisfied. Wish it was accessible sooner on Sunday.
Although the paper work was time consuming, overall my experience has been top notch.
The one-liner basically says it. This is a solid, dependable option for personal storage. They are professional and the units are clean. Everything has gone without a hitch for me.
The day I moved in the representative was at lunch, even though it was during my scheduled time. After sh arrived her customer service was excellent.
Best of the bunch in a world of pirates and snake charmers
Have good price and a lot of space. Helpful people
They called me ahead of time to confirm and helped on the day of the move. Good prices, but a bit on the expensive side. Would be nice to get better discounts for long term use!
Fast, secure and friendly people.
the whole transaction went without a hitch
Convenient storage, drive in feature is nice so you can pull in next to your unit. Clean space, good managemen.
Still not too shabby. Service was pretty good.
Staff stayed to let us move in a couple minutes past deadline. Very accommodating.
Very helpful staff, good amount of storage for price, convenient location for college students
I have used this service for the past three years. They have extremely reasonable pricing and a very friendly service. Be sure to check them out :)
the price is really very cheap.and the location is close to downtown.
The customer service representative was great!
Would recommend it to friends.
I only needed a storage unit (5x10) for a couple weeks and with Planet Storage you get your first month free. I only paid around $40 for the insurance and initial fees including a lock which I did not bring. The guy at the front desk was nice and very helpful.
I only needed storage for a short period of time (1-2 weeks) while moving off campus into a new apartment. Their hours were very difficult for me to work around because I work full time. I was frustrated with my school that I had to buy storage for a full month and only use it for a short time and it was stressful figuring out timing with my schedule. John at the front desk was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating and made the experience so much better. The prices were lower than many others that I was looking into and it was very close for me. The only complaint that I would have is the fact that it closes so early during the week which makes it difficult and the 24 hour units are very expensive.
Terrible customer service and unfair (not-as-advertised-online) pricing
I rented a 5X10 unit here and the staff there was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I was moving at night and although the facilities close at 5:45pm they were able to arrange for someone to stay late so that I could move in, which was great. Lastly, the facilities are well-kept and if a unit is on the second floor, there is a lift you can use to get furniture/etc up there (some storage units I was looking into had second-level units that were ladder-access only which makes absolutely no sense). Overall i would highly recommend this place to anyone needing storage!
John was a very helpful, friendly and caring young man. I'm happy i went with this facility. He deserves a raise.
I reserved a 5x5x9 unit described as âinsideâ and âdryâ for my daughter's college stuff. Turned out this is a metal cubicle with a locked door and wire mesh instead of a ceiling, spider webs and dust all over the unit (bring your cleaning tools). Yes, there is a large common roof above the row of such units, so rain most likely will not flood the unit and sun will not shine directly in, but all stored stuff is exposed to outside humidity and temperature fluctuations. In essence, storing items in these units is not much different from putting them outside under an umbrella. I worry about her down bedding, winter down coat, books and a TV set being ruined due to exposure to humidity. So, for what you get, the price is outrageous ($69/month no any sort of discount). In addition, security is low. Whoever got your key may access the unit. Getting to the storage was interesting; a block away we passed a neighborhood where a few bus stops were full of dirty people with crazy eyes as if they were on drugs or insane. Walking there is definitely is not a good idea, although being on premises is ok.
It was great, easy to access and simple to get done
For what I need, they accommodated me perfectly.
Good experience I like location only thing, I wish the hours of access were longer.
I walked in and was attended to immediately , the woman I dealt with was knowledgeable and friendly. The overall appearance was clean. An available dolly was there to help me unload my car, a lift for my belongings worked great as I am on the second floor. All in all great experience!
The staff was helpful and friendly. Service was quick and clear to understand.
Paperwork took short. After cab driver took my belongings out, the customer service person told me that he got the wrong key and the correct room was supposed to be at the other end of the building (not the one he showed me). I had to walk and carry all my storage. It was a real pain. the only reason I have chosen this company was its fair price. Even though I had a bad experience that day, I will continue storing my items with this company. The CEO is young and I believe the company will improve in the future.
